Alien
A Via train has been quarantined in what looks on the Google map to be the Middle of Absolutely Nowhere, Northern Ontario, but is in fact the small town of Foleyet. 1 passenger dead, 10 taken to hospital, paramedics in full protection gear...

Does it make me a bad person that I am kind of riveted?

(Other stories: City, taking the high road*; Globe; CBC.)

*When I wrote that, the banner on their video clip was DEATH TRAIN QUARANTINED. Srsly.

Just heard about this on the CBC news. It is an INTERESTING news story. And given your line of work, I think it simply makes you a responsible professional.

Does it make ME a bad person if I IMMEDIATELY thought this sounded a lot like a Regenesis plot? And that I wondered about conspiracy theories?

I, also, wondered if Peter Outerbridge would be dispatched to investigate.

If Peter Outerbridge has been dispatched, I'm on my way north!

Ahem.

I'm sorry to say ReGenesis has barely made my radar. Am I missing out?

actually, you might REALLY like. Super complex (not to say farfetched.... well, occasionally farfetched) medical mysteries on a global scale. Decent/fun/interesting characters. Early Ellen Paige when she was good but not famous. I got a bit sick of it, and found the doom/gloom/plague got old fast for me-- but I'm more picky than most.

I saw this on the news during my lunch break and just about fell out of my chair. Sounds very scary. And no you're not a bad person.
